- Crew card (of equal or lesser strength) on which it is played functions irrationally.
- Insanity player dictates the actions of that crew card on the crew player's turn.
- May do normal functions, or the opposite of: point generation, point modification, card plays and card draws.
- Negated by research equal to the insanity plus the crew's strength.
- Crew card may not be discarded in Discard Phase.
